The Chemical and Biological Engineering program at CSU has had a record of very high-quality education and research since its inception in 1977. There are currently 160 undergraduate and 35 graduate students in the program, nine tenure-track faculty, and two instructors. Formed as a dual-program department, Chemical and Biological Engineering became a stand-alone program in 2001 as part of the College of Engineering’s strategy for enhancing its national stature and ranking. We have aggressively revised our undergraduate curriculum to include biology as a foundation science. Toward our research and education goals, four assistant professors have been hired since 2004. Our faculty are engaged in exciting research work, with emphasis on biochemical and biomedical engineering, experimental and computational systems biology, biosensors and microfluidics, polymer science, imaging, and biomaterials. Further information is available at the search web site, http://cbesearch.engr.colostate.edu, or by contacting the search chair at cbe_search@engr.colostate.edu or (970) 491-5253.
