Facilities & Resources

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering maintains groundwater research facility at the Engineering Building on the main campus and at the Engineering Research Center on the Foothills Campus. Main campus facilities include student offices, dedicated computers for groundwater modeling, and laboratory space for teaching. Foothills Campus facilities include 4,000 square feet of office and laboratory space that houses the Center for Contaminant Hydrology (CCH) in the Department Civil and Environmental Engineering. CCH resources include analytical instruments for measuring concentrations of contaminants and tracers; columns and tanks for laboratory experiments, and equipment for field research. Locations of recent field research activities include Casper, Wyoming; Lawrenceville, Illinois; Castle Rock, Colorado; Pueblo Colorado; Commerce City, Colorado; and Honolulu, Hawaii.
