Students Building Hydrogen Fuel Cell Hybrid Malibu
CSU students will build the only hydrogen fuel cell plug-in vehicle at a national contest. The students are working to turn a donated 2013 General Motors Chevrolet Malibu into a hybrid vehicle. The project gives students the opportunity to gain real-world, eco-friendly automotive engineering experience while striving to further improve the energy efficiency of a highly efficient vehicle.

Professor Awarded $1 Million to Study Wave Turbulence
One of our talented professors, Dr. Karan Venayagamoorthy has been awarded two major grants worth $1 million from the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research to study waves and ocean turbulence. These awards are expected to help him develop better turbulence models to more reliably predict mixing and hence the ocean's role in global climate.
