Engineering Graduate Student Visit Day—Travel Information and Maps

Travel Information

Colorado State University is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, about 1 hour north of Denver. Denver International Airport is served by most major airlines which provide nonstop daily service to more than 115 national and international destinations. Many national rental car companies offer service at DIA and ground transportation (shuttle service) to Fort Collins is also available from the main terminal.


Airport Shuttle Service

For shuttle service from Denver International Airport: http://www.rideshamrock.com
Note: The last shuttle from Denver International Airport to Fort Collins leaves the airport at 11:20 p.m. It is recommended that travelers with checked bags arrive no later than 10:40 p.m. in order to board the shuttle on time. International travelers should alot an additional hour.


Driving Directions

From Denver International Airport to CSU’s Engineering Building and Lory Student Center:
  • Merge onto Pena Blvd (west) 4 miles
  • E-470 Tollway (north), exit 6B, 17.4 miles - $2.00 at each of 2 toll plazas
  • I-25 (north) 41 miles
  • E. Mulberry St. / Route 14 (West) 4 miles
  • S. Meldrum St. (South) 1/4 mile. S. Meldrum ends in a parking lot which is due North of the Engineering Building. (The Engineering Building and Lory Student Center are located next to each other.)
    If you have received a parking permit prior to arriving, please hang it from your rearview mirror. If not, you should park in the metered parking until you can get a permit.

Campus Parking

Zone "A" parking spaces are available in the lot north of CSU's Engineering building and Lory Student Center. This parking lot can be accessed by turning South on Meldrum Street from Laurel Street. Registered participants will receive a parking pass in the mail. If you do not receive a pass in advance, please come to the Visit Day check in table at Cherokee Park Ballroom in the Lory Student Center to pick one up. A parking pass is required if you park in the Engineering lot in a non-meter space.
