Support Services
Career Services
The College of Engineering, in conjunction with the Colorado State University Career Center, has a satellite career office in room 102 of the Engineering Building. Our mission is to assist Engineering students and alumni in all aspects of their career development process. The COE Career Office can help students and alumni prepare for their future.
Tutoring
The Engineering College provides free drop-in tutoring Mondays through Thursdays during the fall and spring semesters. Tutoring hours are from 7:00-10:00 p.m in the Allison Hall Tutoring Room located off the main lobby. Feel free to drop in; you are not required to sign up ahead of time!
The College of Natural Sciences (CNS) also provides free tutoring in subjects such as chemistry, physics, calculus and differential equations. See the tutoring schedule for times and locations.
Advising
Students are encouraged to meet with their advisers to discuss their academic progress. Mandatory advising meetings take place in October and November for spring registration and in March and April for fall registration. Typically seniors and honors students register first, followed by juniors, sophomores and freshmen. Departments will post advising office hours or individual times can be arranged by appointment. Remember it is your responsibility to stay in touch with your adviser. When you meet with your adviser to discuss your upcoming semester schedule, be prepared by reviewing your major checksheet before your advising appointment, bringing your proposed semester class schedule, and bringing a list of specific questions.
Your adviser can:
- Assist with course selection and schedule changes
- Provide information on graduation requirements
- Serve as a resource to the many opportunities/services available to students at CSU
Key advising contacts in each department are:
- Chemical and Biological Engineering undergraduate majors
