Fundamentals Of Engineering Exam
The College of Engineering strongly encourages engineering
seniors to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)
Exam. This exam is the first of two exams required
to become a licensed professional engineer (P.E.).
The FE exam is offered in April and October every year.
Exam dates and exam registration deadlines are set
by the National
Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
In advance of registration deadlines, the Engineering
Academic Affairs Office sends out notifications and
exam information to students, departments, and faculty.
The FE exam is administered
on campus each fall and spring semester for undergraduate
engineering students in their senior year. If you have
questions about exam eligibility or any other questions,
please contact Chriselda Engel at (970) 491-1058 or
clengel@engr.colostate.edu
Review sessions to prepare students for the FE exam are available
on campus twice a year. Signing up for the review sessions
is a separate step than registering for the exam. All
students who registered for the exam are notified of
the review sessions signup deadline and dates. Typically,
the review sessions begin one month prior to the exam
date.
