Graduate Opportunities

There are several graduate student opportunities offered through the WMEP office, as well as other programs that we collaborate with on the CSU campus.

Colorado PEAKS Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP)

The University of Colorado at Boulder and Colorado State University have formed the Colorado PEAKS Alliance, which will enhance and improve the way that minority doctoral students are recruited, retained and graduated in the state. On both campuses, the PEAKS Alliance is a Graduate School centered effort. CU-Boulder, ranked 16th in the nation for awarding Ph.D.s to minority students, will serve as the lead institution.

The goals of the Colorado PEAKS Alliance are to establish sustainable campus frameworks and programs that facilitate the development of cohorts of Ph.D. scholars and academic leaders in science, mathematics and engineering (SME) that continue into the professoriate.

Fast Track To Work

Scholarship program for graduate students in Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (CSEM) majors. CSU announces the availability of twenty-nine $3,125 academic-year scholarships, funded by the National Science Foundation's Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics (CSEMS) Program. The purpose of the Fast Track to Work Scholarship Program is to continue recruiting, graduating, and preparing low-income graduate students (including women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities) to make a smooth transition into the workforce and/or to continue toward a CSEMS doctoral degree. The primary goal is to encourage uninterrupted study toward a graduate degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.

GEM Fellowships

The GEM Fellowship programs are designed to offer opportunities for underrepresented minority students to obtain MS degrees in engineering and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and the natural and physical sciences, through a program of paid summer internships and graduate financial assistance.
