Adam Jokerst - Master's Student Adam Jokerst's research interests are in the fields of hydrology, water resources management, and onsite wastewater treatment and reuse systems. He is currently researching the use of constructed wetland systems in the treatment of graywater under the direction of Dr. Larry Roesner. He aims to determine the viability and efficiency of constructed wetlands for graywater treatment, and assess the water quality produced from such systems. He also intends to demonstrate that the reuse of graywater in such applications as irrigation or toilet flushing presents a cost effective means to conserve urban water resources, specifically in application on the CSU campus. |

Chris Olson - Master's Student Chris Olson is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Hydrologic Science and Engineering, emphasizing in urban water management. He received a B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2004 then worked as a consulting engineer for three years in California prior to joining the Urban Water Center at CSU in August 2007. His research interests are in improving the quality of water resources by implementing innovative urban water management techniques. He recently completed building a model to be used to evaluate the effectiveness and whole life cycle costs of stormwater BMPs and will continue his studies as a Phd candidate designing and evaluating various Low Impact Development techniques and retrofitting existing BMPs to improve their effectiveness. |
