EE 456 – Exam

Read class notes and Chapters 1-3, 5-8 (only the sections covered in class).
The exam questions will be based on the same general topics on which homework problems were based on.
So make sure that you are comfortable with homework problems. If you have any questions, please see me.
Be familiar with different concepts, schemes,  and terminology.
[ Ex: for layering you need to know among other things what is meant by  Layered Architecture, OSI-ISO reference model,
OSI layers and their functionality,  Virtual bitpipe, virtual session, etc., Advantages and disadvantages of layering, TCP layers, ...]

The exam is open notes (but not open textbook).  You may bring class  handouts  as well as any hand-written notes.
