FPGA I/O Pin Mappings

BACKGROUND:

This section provides the input & output pin mappings to/from the FPGA on the XESS protoboard. Inputs into the FPGA are from the DS1075 programmable clock, Dual In-line Package (DIP) switches, a software driven DIP switches or pushbuttons. Outputs are either to 7-segment displays or bargraph Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). The dip Switches, clock input, bargraph LEDs and 7-segments are all the I/O devices that are required of EE451. For more advance applications such as I/O mapping to IDE, RS-232, parallel port, stereo I/O, USB, pushbuttons or keyboard/mouse devices can be found in the XESS XSA-50 and XSTend User's Manuals.

Inputs to the FPGA:

Note: Switch at the 'on' or up position is a logic '0'
