Prelab:
Coomplete prelab prior to coming to the lab. The
instructor will sign-off on the prelab: 10%.
Hardware and Demo:
Demonstration of your hardware circuits during your
group meeting: 25%.
Memo:
Your report should consist of the following:10%
- A front page in the Banana Electronics
memo format;
- Aschematic diagram for the PIPO shift
register (attached as Figure 1).
- A schematic diagram for the Register Bank
(Figure 2)
- A schematic diagram for the Register
circuit (Figure 3)
- A schematic diagram for Keypad circuit
(Figure 4)
- A timing diagram for the PIPO shift
register (Figure 5)
- A timing diagram for the Register Bank
(Figure 6)
The
text of your memo should include (20%)
- Introductory Paragraph: state tasks and
any constraints for two parts (For Part I, only the first item
design constraints).
- Procedures Paragraph: in one single
paragraph, say in general what you did to simulate or
implement the circuit in Part I and the register bank in Part
II. This paragraph should present Figures 1-4.
- First Results Paragraph: present Figure 5
for the Shift register and describe how you simulated and
tested the designed shift register.
- Second Results Paragraph: present Figure 6
for the register bank and describe what you learnt during this
implementation.
- Conclusions Paragraph: give a conclusion,
stating whether you were successful in completing each of the
tasks in Part I and Part II, being careful to mention both
simulation and hardware, as required.
If possible, fit the text of your memo on one
page.
