Aspen can be reached by airplane from many locations worldwide. In case you are flying internationally please be aware that flying to Aspen might cost practically the same as a ticket to Denver (the nearest international airport) and therefore might be the cheapest way to get to the conference location. (Examples: On November 19 2001 United Airlines is listing Frankfurt-Aspen-Frankfurt at $777.66, as compared to Frankfurt-Denver-Frankfurt $770; Paris-Aspen-Paris $703.51 as compared to Paris-Denver-Paris $717.01).
Those
staying at the Aspen Meadow facilities can request to be picked up at the
Aspen Airport upon arrival, or to be taken back to the Airport upon return.

b) By car
Aspen can be reached by automobile from Denver International Airport (DIA) thought the scenic “Interstate #70 highway” that crosses the Rocky Mountains passing by many of the most reknown ski resorts in Colorado. It is an approximately 200 mile - 4 hour drive (but the scenery might be worth the drive!). To reach Aspen by car, from DIA take I-70 west to Gleenwood Springs. Exit on Exit 116 to Gleenwood/Aspen and CO-82. Take CO-82 South directly to Aspen.
